The Bridesmaid

Abby never thought this would happen.  Her sister was one too.  This book, The Bridesmaid is written by, Hailey Abbott.

It was official Abby’s sister Carol was a bridezilla.  Abby’s parents are proud owners of Doves Roost which is a place where happy couples get married.  When Abby’s parents find out they get to plan their oldest daughter, Carols, wedding it turns into a trainwreck.  Other than being her sisters bridesmaid, Abby has other problems, too.

“This was what her sister really wanted.”  This is my favorite part of the book, because it is when Abby is actually happy for her sister for the first time in the whole book.

I recommend this book to people who like love stories, and who like to read a book that has a shocking ending.  I would rate this book a nine.

Fake Me a Match

Ever been in a challenging situation, and had no idea what to do?   Avery Laduke has.  Fake Me a Match written by Lauren Barnholdt is an extraordinary book.

Avery Laduke gets a new step sister, Blake.  When Blake develops a crush on Sam, and he has feeling for Avery things get a little messy, and can be confusing at some points in the book.  Avery gets put in charge of a matchmaking service for Student Council.  You can just imagine how much pressure she is under.

“Blake plops herself down in the second-to-last seat.  By two boys. Sam Humphrey and Hayden Frye.”  When Blake first develops a crush on Sam it’s on the school bus on the way to her first day at her new school.  This is my favorite part, because it reveals what Blake’s personality is going to be like throughout the book.

I really enjoyed this book, and I do recommend on reading it.  On a scale from 1-10 I would rate this book a 9.  This is a very good book.

The Sense of Touch

My favorite sense is my sense of touch. This sense makes my life better, because I can feel the softness of a blanket, the warm feeling when my dog cuddles up with me, and I can enjoy my favorite season, Summer. I also enjoy the feeling when I’m up to bat and that tingle you get when the ball hits the bat. When I get cuts and scratches I would need to care for them, but if I didn’t have this I would never know if I needed to care for any cut or scratch I get.

If this sense were ever taken away I wouldn’t be able to write very well because I wouldn’t feel the pencil in my hand. I wouldn’t be able to feel the sun shining down on me, and if I wanted to go swimming I wouldn’t have the same feeling like if I race my brother I wouldn’t feel the water brush up against my face, and if I couldn’t feel that fuzzy feeling you get when you hug your best friend or your parents I don’t know what I would do.

Said the whistle

my turn to serve,

encouragement was coming from my team.

I toss the ball up,

WHAM!

I served

the opposing team sent it flying.

Now it was game point,

all up to me.

I watched the ball go

over the net…an ace!

We had won!

The whole team celebrated.

I thought to myself….

I can do anything if I just believe

in myself.

The Special Gift

The Special Gift
On  December 25th I woke up and went into my living room to find my little brother, digging around in the presents I asked him what he was doing, so he told me he was about to start opening the presents I told him to wait till everyone gets up.  Thirty minutes later he was waking me up, and everyone else.  When he finally got us all in the living room there was one particular gift my little brother had his eye on so I told him he could open that one.  He grabbed the gift and set it down in front of all of the family we all had a strange look on our face then I read the gift tag, and it read from parents to kids.  All the kids took part of unwrapping the present when all the wrapping was off we told my little brother he could take out the present since he was the one who found it, and couldn’t wait to open it he opened the little box, and inside was a piece of copy paper that had a huge slide with a person coming down, and beside it was another picture that had a red, and blue whale tail.  Underneath the pictures was a note that said on June 25th you will go on a Cruise.  I was so shocked, not only do I get to go with my family, but my best friend’s family is coming with us!  I can’t wait till June 25th! After all the gifts were opened my family and, I went to my grandpas we ate lunch, and opened more presents, and had a great Christmas! Now I know why my little brother couldn’t wait to open that special gift.

Sweet Home Alabama

                                        Sweet Home Alabama

“Wake up!” I heard someone yell at 4:30 in the morning, it was Madi S. waking me up to go to Orange Beach, Alabama.  After everyone got loaded up in the car, Madi and I took a nap.  When we woke up it was eight hours into our trip, and we went into a tunnel that was under water!  It was really loud because every driver in there was honking!  Inside the tunnel there were stop lights, and the tunnel was so long you couldn’t even see the end until you were at it. When we got out of the tunnel we watched a movie.  Then an hour later we arrived at our condo in Orange Beach, Alabama.  Our condo was a huge green building with eight different floors.  There were also two elevators and they were really slow. When we finally got to the beach, we got on our boogie boards and floated around.  The fish would not leave our feet alone!  I accidentally stepped on one.  We stayed a whole week in Orange Beach, Alabama, and had a ton of fun!  On our way home we went back under the underwater tunnel, and once again everyone was honking….so we did to!  It nine hours and thirty minutes to get there but the drive was totally worth it.  I defiantly  want to go back to Orange Beach, Alabama next summer to have even more fun! Going to Alabama was defiantly my most memorable moment of my summer!
