So You Think You Can Be a Real Estate?

Real estate is a very challenging occupation, but is also extremely enjoyable, because the social requirements, and the social skills needed for the job. Also priorities must be set, in order to meet clients wants and needs. The clients need to be satisfied in order for the job to be finished to its completion. “To be successful in real estate, you must always and consistently put your clients’ best interests first. When you do your personal needs will be realized beyond your greatest expectations” (Anthony Hitt) Satisfaction plays a huge role in being an agent, and many things are learned during the first few years of being an agent. There is a demand for real estates in today’s society, and it takes more skill and knowledge than people think to become one. Many hours of stress, sleep deprivation, and hard work are put into this job. Although the job allows a great deal of leisure, the standards of the job are high, and have to be met on a weekly and sometimes daily basis. There are multiple benefits of being a real estate, as well as many different reasons why this occupation should be considered, and what it takes to become an agent.
The benefits of being a real estate are continuous, and grow as your business grows through the years. Benefits range from financially and socially to physically and strengthening certain skills in life. According to Stark, the ability to remember certain things, and arithmetic techniques will be strengthened as a real estate, although there is many more concepts to grasp. Improvement of basic skills and more elaborate skills is always convenient in life, and helps immensely when learning the basics of real estate agency. The financial aspect also has a great advantage due to the independent nature the occupation allows. For example, “You have control over your own hours and the freedom of time and movement. You’re not chained to a desk all day and there’s no time card to punch. It can be very liberating.”(Brants) Another professional stated the similar fact, agents don’t have a set work day. The schedule is made up on a daily basis and is spent different every day. (Kaplan Real Estate Education) Because of the control of time, and hours put in determines income, the hard work put in will pay off in the salary. Agents also have to keep in mind that earnings aren’t set for you. Earnings are based on hours and days spent working. (Kaplan Real Estate Education) In addition, real estates are highly honored in the business world, because of their rank in society and the business world. According to Continuing Ed Express, “You are in a respected profession, and compared to other businesses and professions, real estate agent and brokers rank high in public approval polls.” Because of this reason, even if someone becomes a real estate fresh out of college, the young twenty year old will still be respected for the occupation they chose to pursue. Even though the rookie hasn’t sold tons of houses and isn’t well known yet, because they are an real estate agent other occupations will have a high opinion of them. Being an agent also has its physical benefits, daily workouts is a routine for real estates. “If you’re doing your job, real estate will keep you in shape.” Stark stated. The real estate business certainly isn’t easy to be in, with rough changes, and challenges along the way, the job does get easier. Along with the job getting easier through the years, the job also comes with multiple benefits, that makes this job a serious consideration.
Real estate is a high ranked job, and should be considered as a long term occupation for multiple reasons, not just because the wide range of benefits. The requirements vary in different areas and are abundant in advantages., “As an investor, your job isn’t to make a little bit of cash on the side. Your job is to find and secure the best deals [for your clients]”(Pant) There are certain priorities that have to be met as a realtor and clients/customers are always first. If communicating with others and compromising on a daily basis is a strong skill, real estate should definitely be a consideration.“Working in real estate requires hard work and dedication, but the rewards are plenty. Real estate offers excellent income potential, flexible work hours, and freedom to set your own pace.” States George Mason University. This source explains how the the hard work, and dedication put into the job will pay off in many different ways, including financially as well as in other aspects This source also contains more benefits of the occupation, and the more benefits the job has, the more reasons real estate should be a consideration for a long term career. According to Continuing Ed Express, “There are a few things as satisfying as helping buyers find a new home or investment property, or helping sellers sell their property.” Just doing the job itself and its entirety is a great feeling to have every week or even every day if the week is busy. The clients are happy, and the satisfaction of doing the job right is overwhelming at times because good deals are made, and major houses are sold. Real estate should be considered for the benefits it provides, and also because the hard work put in always pays off in the end.
Choosing real estate as a profession is extremely beneficial, and should be a serious consideration for a career. Numerous advantages of the job, and reflection of why the job is a good fit have many expert opinions. The benefits are just a plus that comes with being a real estate but the considerations determine how well of a fit the job really is.
